Whenever there is a disaster like flood, drought, cyclone, earthquate etc. anywhere, the monks and volunteers of Ramakrishna Mission rush to the affected areas and start primary relief work immediately for the poor and needy sections of society, which is sometimes followed by rehabilitation work like construction of houses, schools, community centers, water tanks etc. Extensive relief work was carried out by this Center for the flood affected people of Vadodara and Surat districts when there were heavy rains and subsequent floods during the last two years Food packets, food grains, utensils, tarpaulin sheets, blankets etc. costing approx Rs. 50 lakh were distributed.
